Welcome Rochdale Cycling Club

The club where you don't need to have your own bike or helmet or anything else because it is all provided for you! Plus NO membership or other charges.

We cater for the underprivileged, especially children, many of ethnic origin, physically disabled riders and cyclists with learning difficulties. The club has a wide range of bicycles and specialized equipment which are loaned free of charge for the rides. These range from Tandems for the use of visually impaired riders, trailer bikes to accommodate children from four years old, electric bikes and rickshaws for those not fit enough to ride a normal bike, and even one five seater bike on which an adult can take out four children.

                                    Sad News for 2010

Our founder Mr Louis Blank sadly passed away on the 30th October at his home after fighting a long battle with liver cancer.  The year was a sad one for Louis as earlier this year in march his wife of 50 yrs, Sylvia passed away.  It is with great thanks to Louis and his supportive Family that this club is the success it is today and we dedicate this homepage to his efforts.

This site has been created in order to give you the latest information about the cycling club as well as giving you the opportunity to submit your ideas.

When weather permits we often go to parks so that children can play while grown ups enjoy the rest, sometimes if its a good turn out a nice off road trail takes our fancy and occasionally a stop a the local cafés favors us.  Often we stop by the BMX track so the kids (and big kids) can burn off some steam!  We try to give all the riders a meal at the end of each ride.

We have now built our new bike storage shed, pictured below, so have plenty of room for the specialised bicycles we need.
